Question about burning a chip?

I just wanted to know how many burns can you get out of a chip? I have a willem eprom chip burner so I dont need the uv eraser.

The need for the UV eraser depend son the E/EPROM being used, not what programmer you have/are using.

The amounts of re-programs you get out of an E/EPROM depends on how the chip is handled and if you forget to set the dip switches correctly for the programmers that need it. I have one EEPROM that I have maybe 6 or 8 re-programs on, before it failed, another has probably twice that before it failed, others more without failing.

Thanks for your reply. i was wondering because I went to make a new chip and it was failing to burn. Time to order some more chips.
