STILL rough
I have tried changing he dizzy, lowering the o2 constants, set the timming to 0 degrees actually helped a little. My fuel pressure is at 40, should I raise it to 43? I have checked the injector constant (22.08), is there an adjustment for the fuel pressure it the constant or table? I am waiting on my nvsram so I don't have to run back and forth just to be discouraged. I am at my witts end!

So are you data logging while you are doing this experimentation? You set base timing to 0? Is that what your base timing is set in the chip. What is your timing at idle? I would think you'd want at least 20*, from 600-800 RPMs and 30-40 kpa (if your using '730 ecm). Then adjust your VE in that area. This is all in the stickies. Good luck.

Re: STILL rough
Yes I datalog, my blm always goes 128 to 96. The base timming on the prom is 6. my timming is 16 for ref pulse and 22 for ref TDC, map kpa is from 36 to 41. My blm goes from 128 to 96, the int 110 to 80, both go back and forth. So if I am running rich, LOWERING the VE in those areas WILL lean out the mix?

Yes that low of a BLM is extremely rich and would make it idle rough. Read the "part throttle, no pe" sticky. It will show the math to do with the VE table entry to get you closer to 128. Once you get that taken care of it should idle better. It's best to follow Traxion's procedure of holding the RPM steady at certain RPMs for at least 30-60 seconds so you can average the BLM and correction factor. That's is exactly how I have tuned the 408 with a HSR in my SS. I burned about 20 eproms just learning what's going. Now that things make more sense I've started from scratch using SAJUP V3 and I am on my 8th burn and the engine runs great. Starts at 15* outside no problem and hits a nice mellow idle of 950 without a hiccup eventually settling to 700 rpm. My datalogs show a BLM of 126 +/- 2 throughout the RPM range. Right now I am working on my MAT bin counts so that I've got the same BLM with 20* air temp vs. 80*. Good luck.
