I don't know if your just starting out but there are stickies at the top of the page that will tell you everything you need to know. Start with new to prom burning and then go to common questions and answers.

Trust me I've spent hours reading and looking for the answer to my question. I know that ppl on here expect you to do the leg work first, instead of just answering someones question.

https://www.thirdgen.org/promintro

Read that then download Tunerpro RT. Get the definition for your ECM and then open the bin.

Re: Help me please

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you just un-zip it, then open it with TunerPro... Don't forget to load the definition file in TunerPro, before opening the file as 84KYSS said.

Re: Help me please

Try one of these, on the bin one save it, then remove the ".txt" extension.

If this doesn't work, do a search on other bins of the same name on TGO, maybe a different link will work.

Or find someone that has a known good copy and have them PM it to you.

Re: Help me please

Let me start over and tell ya what I'm trying to learn. I'm going to swap a tpi set up into my 66. Tpi engine is out and on a engine stand, dissected the stock wiring harness to fit new application. Engine starts and runs ok, but I will need to disable some of the functions in the prom i.g. vats, vss and so on.
So in the mean time I was trying to get an idea on how to do this by experimenting with other files.
I do not have any programming equipment at this time. But have tunerpro installed on a laptop, and was trying to play around with one of those bin files.
Pehaps I'm trying to open the wrong thing? BTW the set up is off of a 89 305 with a manual tranny.
