I have a 90 Vette and need some help

I want to start tuning and have read lots and lots of info on this. My biggest question is which hardware do I get? The Vette forum isn't as active as this one or I would've posted there.

There are so many options I'm kinda lost. Is there a difference between the vette and camaro/firebird ecu? What about TPI and LT1?

Any help would be great.

for the hardware, if you like all-in-one then Autoprom is a good choice http://www.moates.net/product_info.p...products_id=54

if you have a 90 Vette then you got Speed Density TPI. your ecm (i believe) 727, and the one on F body is 730 (1990-1992)

for software: Tunerpro RT is good and free www.tunerpro.net

I just looked at the autoprom and really like that you can tune on the fly.
Now do I need to get seperate chips or can I tune the stock one? I'm sure there is a limit to the amont it can be tuned, correct?

I would recommend you to buy few chips like AT29c256. you can reprogram your stock one but then you need to buy a UV eraser, and the stock chip can only be programed so many times.
