7730 MAT scale question

Years ago I disabled MAT being I felt I had more consistant performance with it disabled. When I did I had to re scale entire VE, I guess because it defaulted to minimum MAT reading, I want to start using again and don't feel like rescaling whole VE table. Could I just start the minimum temp value where current temp is and scale from there? especially being its 25° right now and car does not see much colder ever. Or would I have to rescale MAT invert look-up as well? which I do not understand being its in gms/sec, how does ecm calculate that without maf?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks,
forgot all about those! I had actually responded to second when I first disabled - that was back in 2004 as I just realized. Guess I was a little late at getting back to rescaling those. Still does not answer my question though totally.

Re: 7730 MAT scale question

I'm with you man. I've read everything I can find on this site about MAT and it doesn't make a bit of sense to me either. sounds great in thorey but I got nothing when it comes to actually tuning it. hell mine has a stock intake and stock sensor, in the stock place. I don't really even understand why its off by over 2 A/F points off on a hot restart. but it is. good luck with it man.
