1986 IROC-Z Tuning

Hey guys,

I'm going to get into PRM burning... Found all the stuff I needed on Moates.net judging from all the info here i've been reading over the past year. I understand some of what the basics are. I would really have to see Tuner PRo and do it once to see what it is like to ask questions on here. My situation is that I do not know any info about the specs of my engine... How would I go about knowing how to tune stuff? Like what adjustments have to be made if I am running "rich" / "lean" and how do I know if I'm running in these conditions? Will the Tuner Pro software log this data for me? Will I be able to tell the AFR (air fuel ratio) with this program?? Or will I need a WB (wideband) thing? (What is the diff. between wideband and narrowband anyway??)..

This is me trying to start something where I know almost nothing about.. Sorry if my questions seem redundant to some of you.

Thanks for the help in advance.
-Marc

Cool threads you gave me there! Thanks alot I read them all actually (took awhile haha). Super good info... I get most of the points now... I guess I just need to do a hands-on approach right now to really get to know how to do it.. like anything else i guess.

thank you!
