7730 LT1

OK so I got a line on a LT1 cheap but it has no harness or ecm.

Could I use a 7730 ecm with different tuning to run an LT1? and would it be possible to modify the tpi harness to work with the engine(optispark)?

I have been searching for hours and have not found the answer I am looking for . Everything referenced having the harness and ecm and changing the pinouts.
I know the 93's were sd and batch fire. And I looked for the bins and xdf files and found a reference in the xdf for the 7730 ecm. I just want to know before I go forward bc I already have a l98 in the garage getting ready to swap but I would love to put the lt1 in instead the price is right for the motor but I need to know what other expenses I'd be looking at?

Also could I just modify the LT1 intake to tak a dissy and not use the optispak? might that work?

Re: 7730 LT1

I dont know about the PCM and stuff but it is possible to mod a LT1 intake to take a regular disty, I have done it before, its not uncommon to see.

I know you can mod the intake. Maybe I should do that and just run the stock tuning and mod the harness for the individual sensor changes. I don't have the money to get another harness and ecm so I'm limited to this. And the intake would still cost me what 200 to have done? Of course I could sell the 3 350 blocks I have.

I'd say $200 is a good guess, I'm friends with my machine shop guy so I dont pay what other people pay.

I dont know if a distributor will fit with an LT1 block, but you cannot use a '7730 computer with an LT1 optispark. They're incompatible.

Re: 7730 LT1

that's what I need to know thanks. Well the cams still have the drive gear on them. So you think if I have the intake modded to accept a dissy I could use the 7730 or would I run into other things
