Old Post subject stumbling At part throttle
I have posted through out the last 12 months on my car stumbling at highway cruising whenever I let off the pedal, or I try to hold it at 65mph, or less. There were idle issues, blms wouldn't up date, random miss, or after fire ..etc.
After much searching and reading new post by others with similar problems. I tried all that I could think of and any of the suggestions offered by the best on these boards which helped to minimize it, but it was just too difficult to drive it like that.
The one suggestion I didn't pay too much attention to was going back to the stock bin, but I couldn't find an unmodified stock ARAP so I downloaded a stock 1989 AUJL auto/2.77 changed only what had to absolutely change, alright and some I wanted to change.
Not only did it stop stumbling, (more like jerking in a standard when you're in the wrong gear, or don't give it enough fuel for the load.) it idles properly at lower rpms,no lurching, no miss/after fires and I can actual use 87 octane with the EGR enabled.
I realize this bin is for iron heads, so I'll have to figure out what needs changing to take advantage of the alum fast burn heads.
So my thanks go out to all who took interest and the time to reply.
Raul.
