MAT Maxing With TunerPRO v5

Yesterday I posted in another thread that my MAT reading was 392*. I checked this afternoon with the harness disconnected from the sensor and got the same reading (I suspected this would be the case). The laptop I was using locked on me so I grabbed my other that has TPv4 installed. Using v4, the MAT reads correctly (87.xx*).

I compared the ADS to current ADX and couldn't really see any differences, but I also know nothing about the guts of how the programming works.

Any ideas to what my issue may be?

Re: MAT Maxing With TunerPRO v5

If so look at the equasion for the MAT, when I first started using V5, I imported the ADS I had been using in V4, and the MAT value was stuck at -40, no matter what, so I replaced the MAT sensor, instead of switching back to V4. ( ), but still showed the same -40 value, turned out that the MAT equasion was imported wrong. I was using $59, but the same thing may be happening to you.

Re: MAT Maxing With TunerPRO v5

I'm almost sure this is what's happening to me, but I don't know how to fix it.

Aquisition > Edit Definition > Values > MAT

Compare to values in V4.

I did that, but, like I said, I couldn't really see any differences.

Did you look at the "conversion tab"? It's at the bottom of that pop-up screen, and has teh equasion right at the top of the tab. If all you saw was the name of the variable and adress for it, along with min and max values you weren't on the right tab.

Re: MAT Maxing With TunerPRO v5

According the ADS file that I imported, the MAT uses only a lookup table and no equation; this was the same with both the ADS (v4) and the ADX (v5). Would I be fine to give it the same equation at the Coolant Temp Sensor?

Re: MAT Maxing With TunerPRO v5

Change the conversion.

I just did an import myself of an S_AUJP .ads, using the latest version of V5 and the "equasion" comes up as "87" for me, this is NOT an equasion. The equasion should be " X ", without the quotation marks.

That did the trick. I owe you a beverage of your choice.
