OD map/tps filter

address 48BE, execution time to filter AE TPS/MAP. usually you would lower this value to increase fueling, but is this the opposite? would you increase it?

stock value is set at 0.1 sec(as low as it goes)

thanks

Re: OD map/tps filter

Bump.

I'm fighting a wicked lean bog on my 95 when stabbing it WOT from a dead stop. I've got a substantial amount of AE MAP but its not really helping. I've been able to take it from literally dieing on a WOT stab from a stop to chugging enough to stay running and then after what feels like a couple three seconds it pulls its head out and wakes up and runs. I did some searching and it seems as though the AE filter may be keeping the AE from coming on as fast as it needs to. I've got a single plane 2 barrel victor junior on it so there is some plenum volume to work with but still I can't imagine it needing top fuel dragster amounts of AE. Seems like there is a delay to it and there shouldn't be.

I believe the address is 4B32, its a 13 line table. What needs to be done with it? From what I understand its a correction multiplier more or less that works in the 0% to 100% range. Is less more or is more less? Suggestions on what to try for an initial test run?

Re: OD map/tps filter

i never found an answer to this. i could add tps AE till i nearly flooded the engine and it wouldnt help because it seems to be delayed. with the 7747 i had the fueling would come in very fast, but the 7427 just seems limited when it comes to AE. i played with filters some and i never really got it to run right

Since posting what I did was cut the stock values in half and gave it a try. It seemed somewhat better in that it didn't act like it was going to die but it still sat there and kind of lean popped for a second or two until it pulled its head out and got going. From what I understand the filters main purpose was for emissions control. I figure if 1/2 of the stock values gave a somewhat moderate increase in AE delivery time then tomorrow I will try 1/4 of the stock values and see what that does. I very well may end up zeroing the table out because I don't really see the need of having any AE delay. Its based on temperature so I would think that by zeroing it that I would get a consistent shot of AE all the time regardless of temperature and then I could just fine tune the AE in as needed using the AE TPS and MAP tables. This may also cure a lot of the variation I get when taking off from stop lights depending on how long I've been sitting at the stop light.

This is taken straight from the MAF Hack.

Re: OD map/tps filter

Well I tried the table at 25% of stock and this morning it seemed to have made a noticable difference so this evening after work I went ahead and zero'd out the table. Doing so did not fix the lean bog at all. Whats weird is at light throttle shifts it actually spikes a little lean now. Before it would dip to say 14.5:1 and now it seems to be spiking to around 16.5:1 when the commanded ratio at the time is around 15.8:1. Not really sure what to think of it.

Re: OD map/tps filter

i was thinking when you reduce the COEFF tha AE comes in at a faster rate but also is shorter.. thanks for showing me that table
