Does anyone know where I can get the UV light erasable Eproms?

OK, I am a dynosaur here, but my old stuff still works for me. However, I have damaged 2 of my 4 original Eprom chips and had given one away to help another 3rd genner with the MAF code 33 error. I have checked with Moates about a month ago (or two), he does not have any. These UV erasable Eproms are the 27C128 chips.

I *think* the electronics store in the next town has some on the shelf. I'll try to remember to call them tomorrow for you.

Note in the '7165 the '256 EPROM can also be used. Just burn the upper half when programming, or double stack. For those in the -40 to 80 *C range try Mouser (www.mouser.com). Drop "M27C256B-12F6" into the search box.

I bought one of these, lined up light source with hole in eprom, cut me a hole in the drawer that matches side profile of memcal, where I could slide memcal in and center hole in memcal eprom lined up and it works great.
I can send pic if you can't see what I'm describing.

I've got one of these also, lay memcal over light upside down and erase.

RBob, looks like you have come thru for me again, thanks. I will call them tomorrow.

Duts87ss, please check into that source.

scuzz, I am looking into the Eproms only. I have had a Dataeraser II for about 12 to 14 years. I am surprised that they are still being sold.

doc, do you know what "ns" rating you need? Looks like they will probably have some though.

On a P4 at least a 250 ns chip is required. That and faster will work.

On a C3 at least a 500 ns (450 ns is a standard rating) chip is required. That and faster will work.
