Tunercat Fail

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has experienced this.I just downloaded the latest tunercat trial to see how well it works for tuning. After installing it on my pc win xp,the program loads..it never finds my emulator or burn1,it wont open Any bin file or allow me to choose a ecu file, the ecm column isnt even highlighted.

Is this because its the trial..I thought the trial was fully operational for 30 days?Hard to say I would invest in the program if I cant try it out first.Any suggestions or settings I need to make it work?

Re: Tunercat Fail

TunerCat uses a .tdf file. The file for maskid $42 ('7747 ECM) is included with the package. IIRC, until you load it the tuner won't do anything. Also, I think only the RT version will connect to an emulator and such.

Re: Tunercat Fail

Im using a 7730 ecm and running aujp $8d. How do I load a tdf type file if I cant open anything at all.Do I need to convert a xdf file into a tdf before I can use the program?

Re: Tunercat Fail

Click on the ECM selection on the menu bar. It should show a "ECM_42" entry. Click on that. Once the tdf is loaded you can then load a BIN file.

Re: Tunercat Fail

If it's like it was a couple years ago, the ONLY bin/tdf that would load is a $42 bin/tdf, and is meant for "evaluation" purposes only.

Re: Tunercat Fail

its been a long since i've used tunercat.
i may be thinking of some other tuning program, but IIRC, they used to have a 8D trial version you could download or you could E-mail them to get it.
