7730 ECM and LC-1

Hi all

I just purchased a LC-1 and i would like to know How do i wire it correctly to the 7730 ecm and what does it take to "see" the WB data on my TP/RT V5?

Basically i am asking for a step/step procedure from start to finish as I and i assume many others would find this info very handy, now and in the future.

I have tried searching for the info but all i seem to find is bits/pieces of questions. Thanks ...any and all comments are very welcome. GTA

Go to https://www.moates.net/files.php
In the "Custom Modified Binaries" section there is a file called
"S_AUJP_V4 1026.zip" that contains a PDF describing how it can be implemented with the S_AUJP V4 bin.
If using the bin, see the thread about it for updates.

All the info is in there to show you how to get the signal in, set up the scaling for display etc.
Code:
Things are needed:
1.) Wire the output to an ECM pin
(Stored memory location needs to be known if not an existing display item)
2.) Scale the WB output to some known values
(0-5 V = 7.35-22.39 AFR) This is a WB hardware function
3.) Create the item in the Logging program (or use an existing item)
Set scale of "counts" 0-255 to AFR 7.35-22.39,
Factor X * 0.05898 +offset = 7.35
4.) Change the ALDL definition in the bin to point to the new memory location
(only if not using an existing display item).
If you are not using the "V4" bin it can still be done using the the stock oil temp input (if you scratch off the trace as described) as one possible alternate way.
Pin F12 = ALDL word 38
Make the scratch, Wire in the WB to the pin, Change the scale on word 38 in ADS, create a gauge and go.

There are other ways as well posted around and this doc can help you figure out what will be best for you.

Edit: The updated "inputs" file is contained with the S_AUJP V4 1026 package. I've attached that file because it is smaller.

Re: 7730 ECM and LC-1

JP.

Hi Thanks for all the info and help so far. I am using the latest version of TP/RT V5. So the above procedure should work for me. My XDF file is
8D_SAUJP_V4a.xdf

Adx File is V5 SAUJP_V4_05.adx

I will check to make sure this works first, before i start messing with the WB stuff, gotta wait for the snow to go away before we can play Thanks GTA...

ps i;m sure i will be back with a few more questions before long..
