Is it time to desensitize?

Well today I left my truck in 3rd as opposed to overdrive and got into an uncharted area of my SA table. Anyway I was lucky enough to find knock at 35 MAP and 2250 RPMS, and regardless of how much timing I pull I still seem to get the knock. It doesn't appear to get knock at lower rpm with the same map and greater SA so I am assuming that something is tripping the KS. There is no fueling issues and I am right around stoich with the BLMS in check. I can't find anything mechanically that could be causing false knock, and this appears to be the only area where I have a knock issue. I was wondering what others have done in a situation like this and would appreciate some advice.

Re: Is it time to desensitize?

Could be many things. Exhaust is top on list. AC compressor, timing chain, etc.
I have same issue at 2400-3000 rpm and 40-60 MAP I recall. I did not disable the KS but reduced the amount of timing retard. upper MAP and upper RPM no issue. Seems it occurrs under load and clears out after car gets up to speed. I run aftermarket ECU with stock KS. I was told I can use a KS that is less sensitive. I believe somewhere I have that application. It was a 4.3L sensor I know but forget the year.
