Hiway747 Patch - how do I know if it's applied?

I'm running a 747 ecu and have been chasing my tail with a code 43 problem that appears whenever I accelerate hard. The code is legit in that I can hear the knock but I've tried playing with PE spark settings (table at 015E) as well as my main spark table with no change. I can lean into the throttle slowly and everything's fine and the engine pulls fairly well.

Reading this list I thought maybe my problem was due to a failed ESC test when entering PE, so I found and tried to implement Rbob's Hiway747 patch but can't see any difference when using the difference tool in TunerPro - should I see something? Is there an indicator that tells me if the ESC test has been done successfully or not?

Or am I looking in the wrong place?

I'm running a 350 in a 3/4T pickup, 700R4, headers & single 3" exhaust, Comp 260 cam, Edelbrock Performer TBI, 46mm TB, mildly ported swirl port heads.

Btw - this board is the best resource I've found on tbi stuff, hat's off to you guys!

Yes, ALDL spark (0023) is zeroed.

If my PE timer was bypassed (lower coolant threshold about my running temperature) could that cause the problem I'm seeing? I'm going to reduce the lower coolant threshold PE Timer bypass (02C9) and see what effect it has, currently 88.

PE Timer Delay for PE (02CE) is .35 seconds, but some bins I've seen zero this out. I left it alone.
