$OD SD TPI with MAF
Been doing alot of reading here on this an it sounds pretty nice . Is their some one here that has done this conversation using the 16197427 . I have found the $OD MAF Bin to look at to see what is all detailed . Can't seem to find a wiring diagram to add the MAF to the PCM . From what i have read a 3.5 dia. MAF is what i need but not sure on the three wire or the five wire . The newer MAF with the heater element seemed to be the way to go. Since i was looking into this adding in the IAT i think would add nicely to this set up . With my set up now in my truck their is not much room to add the MAF with out a few bends which is also gonna be another challenge . What you guy's think can you give me some advise .

Re: $OD SD TPI with MAF
Im working on this with another member, who will at some point test it on his car. I dont have a car that it can be tested on, so I cant really do it myself. There are a few changes needed to the $0D MAF code to allow it to properly handle the fueling, as well as fire the injectors at teh appropriate time. bypassing the injector driver sense resistors.
Both a 3 wire (MAF flow only) or the 5 wire (MAF flow + IAT temp) will work. With the 5 wire, your IAT will be in the MAf itself. The MAF requires +5 volts, and a common ground with the PCM (this is pretty important). Lastly, there is teh frequency wire, which goes back to the TOS input in the PCM.

I think dememted is talking about me being the forum member he is working with. I am Engineering student and I am out of school in about a month so I can't work on the system till I am out since my car is is 180 miles away. Demented has lined out the AE routine for me so we won't know how it works till I can compile it and try it out, I imagine it will work out well. I am also running MPFI so it requires some changes to work since the code was originally for tbi.
For maf install you will most likely have to fine tune some of the tables due bends and various other fitment issues. but for the most part it will get oyu up and running pretty fast. Do you have a wideband O2 sensor? This will be your main aid in getting the maf calibrated for your particular setup. I got my maf 3.5" truck/Z06 for $35. This had the built in IAT 5 wire.
Also are you running tbi or mpfi? 0d code was intended for maf tbi setup so you maybe almost ready to go. Add a couple of wires possibly and you are done. What engine efi came on a 95?

Yes i do have a WB sensor set up to run with the PCM . Do you have a part number for your MAF the price is right . I'am currently running MPFI with SD right now using the $OD code and i believe you are right , pretty close to being set up already . The 95 came with a SD TBI . I'am currently trying to locate a MAF right now an looking at some way to route the MAF as it is already a tight fit .
Re: $OD SD TPI with MAF
GM Delphi 25168491 MAF this is the truck/z06 maf I think check the number with a google search. There should be a bonnet you can get i think of a caddy that makes the maf hook up easy. Its on the board do some more searching. I think a forum member has done it this way, do a search for Kevin $0d and see what you come with. I got my maf off of ebay so check around there and see whats available. The kevin posts will have the conversion and pin out also if I remember correctly.
