VE vs. RPM vs. MAP question

Why is it that I see different 2000 rpm MAP values in the following tables?? One is in the normal VE vs. RPM vs. MAP table and the other in VE vs. RPM vs. MAP (EXT) table.
I always see to it that both have the same values, but when I look at other bin files they always differ.
How is my ECM to know which 2000 RPM table to use??

The tables should match each other. Otherwise there can be a slight bump when transitioning from one table to the other. All depends upon how much difference there is between the tables.

Typically, as long as the RPM is at or below 2,000 RPM the lower speed table is used. Once the RPM is over 2,000 RPM then the higher speed table is used.

RBob: When doing a VELearn with EBL is the lower RPM table changed while the upper not changed when learn is on? I too noticed they are differrent so I need to change the upper to match lower.

With an EBL VE Learn the tables match at 2,000 RPM.

My Learn this morning shows exactly that !

I think I misspoke on that. It was in fact the SA tables at 4800 that did not match in my .bin.

Re: VE vs. RPM vs. MAP question

Some "hardly all" code bases in certain TBI trucks use the BPw constant for one table and Injector constant for the other. serious pain to work with.
