spark advance vs mat in super_8dm2?

Does this exist? I fighting crappy factory heads right now and have excessive pinging when its hot out. Would like to pull more timing out of the tables automatically when it gets hot out, manifold air temperature vs. spark advance (or retard) would be nice but I'm probably overlooking it.

Thanks!

I'm not familiar with your ecm, but in mine (165), I can remove timing in relation to coolant temp. I'd bet your coolant temp is creeping up some as the temps go up, so this might work for you too if you don't have the table you are looking for.

Re: spark advance vs mat in super_8dm2?

I thought I found it: spark advance temp. correction Vs. Load Vs. Temp.
But I bet you are right that its Coolant Temp. What I really want is VS. MAT. Maybe its time to start hacking the code now? Or maybe this alteration already exists in some of the custom code out there?

Anyone? Bueller?

Its been a while and don't remember the exact usage but there is a "compensation table" you might try.
Do a quick search for how the MAT works in $8D, should be several posts by RBob and Z69.
The table i'm looking at is at $87FD to 880D
I have it as "MAT Compensation Counts Vs. MAT " but could be something else in the super 8D def. Use the address to identify it for certain.

Edit: Sorry, this would be for fuel (Doh )
