I have an old 9 pin serial mastach cable, used it on my old laptop years ago. I have since purcahsed a newer laptop and it will not communicate on any port. I am using a serial to usb cable, have installed several drivers including the one it came with, nothing works. Tried winaldl, tss, tunerpro, nothing. WinALDL puts ok when I select the port that it is plugged into, but it will not read out any data. Beginning to think the mastach itself is done. Can you guys recommend an ALDL cable? I see several different places like moates.net that offer them, go with one of these? Thanks
