What is significant of "option word" EgrNC?

NC is normally closed?

Yes, NC is normally closed. This is the vacuum solenoid to operate the EGR valve. A NC solenoid requires power to open it. A NO solenoid requires power to close it. Easiest way to tell which valve is it, at key-off, use a clean pice of vac line and see if air will pass through it. If so, then it is a NO solenoid valve.

When using N2O that option has no affect.

When using N2O the EGR option needs to be un-checked. Doing that enables the N2O logic in the ECM.
