XDF for $6E didn't "see" flags correctly from TunerCAT BIN file

A (nice) experienced tuner prepared a new BIN for my 383 stroker. (1989 Corvette.) He wrote the BIN using TunerCat. I downloaded TunerProRT to view/burn the BIN (with BURN2) to a chip. Because TunerProRT didn't appear to download with and XDF files, I went back to their website and downloaded the $6E.XDF file.

After viewing/discussion what I saw with the (TunerCAT) tuner, we saw something weird. Setting the transmission to manual in TunerCat doesn't result in that flag getting set in TunerPro. Setting the transmission to manual in TunerPro causes VATs to get enabled.

IOW, it doesn't look like the flags "line up". We couldn't find any other desrepancy but,,,it also looked like other automatic transmission functions were disabled so he said to burn it as-is (even w/o the manual flag set) for my ZF6 transmission.

Thoughts? Ideas for the discrepancy?
Thanks

That is weird. I never used TunerCat but a bin file is a bin file, and as long as the XDF or whatever "reading" file used to "read" the bin is correct for that file, it shouldnt matter what system you use. So I would expect Tunercat changes to show up on Tunerpro and vice verus

What base BIN are you using, ARAP?

In any case, I'd compare all items to make sure nothing else changed and reset the flags for your setup if you are planning on using TunerPro RT to tune this car.

Is 6E the proper XDF for your vehicle? It's hard for us to know since you didn't tell us what vehicle this is for, what ECM it has in it, etc.

My apology. I have an 89 Corvette which uses the $6E XDF as it's definition. The person helping me prep a start-up BIN file used TunerCAT.

I called TunerCAT who said the error must be in the TunerPro definition file. I'm not sure TunerPro has a tech line.

TunerPro doesn't have a tech line. You get what you pay for (and I suppose John at TunerCat is getting the opposite?). Do feel free to email me the bin file and I'll take a look.

The car is running with the new bin, I assume you made the changes in the flags to simulate the tunercat file? The bin looked fine to me for a starter on that motor. It doesnt take much to get a bin to idle and part throttle run on most motors, but WOT is always hard to get right with guessing at first time.

If the car is indeed a manual, use APYP instead of ARAP. APYP is the manual equiv of ARAP.
