ARGH- Fuqin' flaky transistor (Q2) controlling vpp (or a flaky solder or something).
I can sometimes coax it to erase by prodding Q2 with the multimeter.
I can't believe somebody thought it wise to use a $0.001 transistor instead of a larger $.008 transisotr. I mean, really... wtf.
Update:
After reading into it for an hour or so, there are A LOT of willem-based boards out there. I got shafted with a crappy one from ebay. I'm pretty good at soldering and I honestly don't think I can repair my board because all the components are crazy small. Live and learn
I'll probably stick with the willem if I can find one with better components.

sounds like it's easily replaced IMO...
which version anyway, the 4 series seems to be pretty solid from what i'm told.

I have no problems with my GQ-3X.
I did replace my Dual Power programmer, that seemed to ruin some EEPROMs that I was using at the time.
I also have a BURN2, that is awesome and I have in my tuning bag to use when I go tune other people's vehicles.
