Need tips for initial start-up BIN

Hey guys. I usually lurk around here trying to soak up information as best as I can so I can tune my car on my own. However, I think now is the time to ask a question. I recently did a heads and cam swap on my 91 GTA with the 350 motor. The heads are Trickflow 195s and the camshaft is a TPIS ZZ409 226/226 Duration @ .050 .555/.555 lift with 1.6 rockers. The intake manifold is the SLP T-RAM. I also am running 39lb Ford injectors on the car.

Now, the problem is the car is at a friend's house about 25 miles from me and I want to get her home. My goal right now is to get her safely DRIVEABLE. So far, I have taken a stock AUJP bin and changed the following items:

-Changed Injector Constant to 42psi (The AFPR's lowest setting is 50psi for some reason)
-Disabled EGR
-Changed the idle from 650 to 850.
-Stall Saver disabled
-Fan settings lowered on at 190, off at 170 to match my thermostat.

So far, the VE tables and the SA tables are unchanged and stock AUJP. Obviously, these will require work. I have not had a chance to take accurate datalogs yet. Does anybody else have any other suggestions as to what tweaks I can do? Again, my goal is to get this thing out of my friend's house and home, not looking for a 100% optimal tune yet, but I sure will be datalogging on the drive home. If anybody has any other suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!

This can be tough, but since you only need to get your GTA home, not so bad. The changes you made are reasonable, although I think you may have typo'd the injector constant change.

If so, and you changed it to the proper flow rate (not psi) then all is OK.

Just 25 miles shouldn't really be an issue. Try to do it on off hours, when the traffic is light.

Check the BLM learn CTS threshold, make sure that it is low enough for the ECM to use the short & long term fuel trims (160* thermo). That way the ECM can compensate and have it drive-able once in closed loop & learn mode.

RBob.

Thanks RBob. I didn't even think about the BLM learn CTS threshold. Luckily, I will have some time to take her to the park a quarter mile down to do some datalogging and tuning on idle and part throttle in the parking lot before the trip home to see if I can get her more into the ballpark range.
