Closed loop problem

Closed loop problem

My car have troubles getting in to closed loop. Did some datalogging today to check out what it could be and the car is staying most of it's time in open loop. Everytime I give some throttle the closed loop mode kicks in but goes to open loop again when letting the foot of the pedal.

I have a Lc1 wideband kit so the sensor should be heated. I don't have any error codes even on the wideband light. Only that the sensor is getting VERY lean when the engine goes to open loop mode. Have checked all wiring and there is nothing wrong with that.

I bought the LC1 4-5 months ago and calibrated the sensor the first time.
haven't done it again yet. Could it be that the sensor needs to be calibrated again?..Could the sensor be dirty or something, so this problem will occur??

Are you using the LC1 as a narrow band O2 as well? Or do you have a separate NB O2 and is it heated?

I am using the wideband as the Narrow band sensor. I just replaced it with the stock o2 sensor and wired it to the LC1.

So you were using the WB in place of the NB sensor. Now instead you replaced the use of the WB and instead went back to use of a NB? Please explain what you are doing.

I dont think the LC1 will communicate with a NB sensor if that is what you did.

I am sorry if I got you confused with my explaination. I will try it again.
I was using a narrow band sensor at the stock o2 sensor hole in the headers.

I didn't get the narrow band sensor to go to closed loop so I bought a wideband sensor kit (LC1) because I thought that it didn't go to closed loop because of the temperature wasn't HOT enough after the headers was installed.

Anyway, the car didn't work out when I used the Lc1 sensor as a narrow band sensor. The ECM just didn't go to closed loop. So I found out that the ECM ground for the o2 sensor was cut off in the engine bay.
I replace that wire with new connections to a new grounding point and then the wideband worked well as a narrowband sensor.

So what I am saying is that I haven't tried using a narrow band sensor after the ground wire was fixed.

The problem now is that the car is having troubles getting to closed loop mode. I need to give a lot of gas to go in to closed loop mode.
And I have heard that the ECM often have troubles getting the signals from a wideband sensor.

So now, I think I might want to try replacing the wideband sensor again with a new stock o2 sensor and use that as a narrow band again.
And then install a bung for the wideband further back on the exhaust.

Did you understand my situation now??

When WB used in place of a NB I dont believe closed loop is used. IOW I recall it stays in OL. What do the directions from Innovate show in that regard? I use LC1 but never used that function. I use a heated NB02 and run CL.

The directions from Innovative shows that the sensor could be used as a narrowband. You just have to connect the yellow wire from the lc1 to the input on the ECM and then it should work like a narrowband sensor.

And I did follow theese instructions of course and the sensor worked out for a while. About 3 months, and after those 3 months the problems occured.
So now I am gonna replace the wideband sensor with a regular narrowband o2 and then put the wideband further back on the Y-Pipe.
