Installed new O2 now not running right.

I installed a heated O2 and the first time I started it ran fine. I drove it in and out of garage and no hesitation just ran great. Then it sat for a couple days. I started it to put it back on garage and it was stumbling and was running like crap. Hesitation like crazy. The reason I wanted to put it back in garage was it was raining really hard. The car is not on the road and hadn't been in two years. Work in progress. When it started to run like this I checked the injectors one seemed to be barely firing and almost nothing out of the other. I have not hooked up the power and ground yet to the heated O2. That shouldn't matter or should it?

Why would it run fine then a of a sudden like crap. I have EBL. With the install of a new O2 are my injectors barely firing because they are to big? If so why would it run fine at first, actually seemed to run better than with the old single wire. Then all of a sudden this. Could it be something like the distributor got to much moisture in it from rain. I'm asking all sorts of questions to cover all bases before I look at it to get knowledgeable suggestions cause I haven't been able to look at it but I'm hoping to this weekend. I ran EBL for a minute when it started running this way. Plus did a ve learn and it added some fuel to the table. The BL was going up and down and I did see the DC% hit 0 often. Help suggestions please.

Need to hook up the power & ground to the O2 sensor.

Runs OK at first as it is in open loop. Once it goes into closed loop with the ECM getting bad data from the sensor, the fueling goes hay-wire.

I will hook the sensor the rest of the way up to see if it resolves this issue. How ever I'm thinking it is not the issue. Because the first time I started it, it seemed to run better than when I had old single wire. The second time I started it (days later) it ran like crap from the get go. So whether in open or closed it still ran crappy.

Re: Installed new O2 now not running right.

Well, hooked up the power to the sensor. It was not the problem. Looked into malf codes in WU and none. Noticed the my gas was real low. Lol I added some gas and problem went away. Seems as though when the fuel gets real low air is introduced into the system causing this. Once the sensor was all hooked for power though. I did a ve learn and it took out fuel every where. I guess with new sensor it will run more efficiently
