Transmission: t-5 five speed/ 5 speed
Axle/Gears: 3.42 posi/ 3.73LSD
what base tune?

i have a friend that can burn chips for my car, i need a base tuned to get the motor running before any real tunning can start. i have a 350 TPI has a big cam, 21lbs injectors, aluminum heads with .205 intake and 1.60 exhuast and 64cc combustion chamber. its a comp cams roller cam. my question what car's tune could i use as base?

Always start with a stock GM BIN. Can read the current chip to get one. Can also get one from either Moate's or Mike's web sites:

If the car is the '86 in your mini-sig many tuners update to the '89 $6E mask.

Agreed with the above. I like $6E stuff. ARAP isnt a bad choice but i'd modify that timing table alittle before using...just to be safe since its aggressive and has alot of timing in it.

Adjust the base idle speed and injectors in the bin and try getting it to start up on that. Tweak from there. My 383 I used a AUJL bin from an 89 L98 camaro. Worked great. For my buddy's car, we started with a ARAP bin with modded timing table. For a couple of vettes I helped tune, ARAP also worked well. Variety of motors ranging from 350's to 395's
