PCM's use of B2 Fuel Pump Signal

I was wondering how the PCM used the fuel pump signal that it recieves from the B2 pin on a 7747. Does it just check to see that it is working (on/off), or does it use the voltage to correct fuelling?

I ask because I had added a fuel pump relay to the rear of the car when I moved the battery to the trunk, so now the PCM only sees the relay's voltage, not the pump's. I just need to know if I should run a wire back so the PCM gets the reference voltage it may or may not need.

Thanks in advance.

Re: PCM's use of B2 Fuel Pump Signal

It is used for the fuel pump relay malfunction diagnostic routine and for the voltage compensation of the injector PW.

Thank you. That's just what I was looking for. I just wanted to make sure of this before I took the time run the wire.
