Ned help with offset

I have tune for a 89 Chevy Truck. I can read the AZFT.bin file in tunercat. I have replaced the prom in the memcal pack with a EEPROM when I write the bin file to the chip and try and read it Tunercat says the file needs a $ff definition file to read it. I read the original file with a $42 definition file. Because the EEPROM is larger than the original prom I am assuming that I need to enter an offset. I have tried using the numbers that are available on Moates.net with no success. My programmer is a CQ-4 USB programmer. The software only allows me to enter a File Offset and a Device Offset. The file size is 4K.
Can anyone help me please

Thanks

Re: Ned help with offset

Set the file offset, not the device offset.

Using an SST27SF512 (or other 512 EPROM), the offset would be "F000".

What ECM are you using now? The 1989 Chevy $42 AZFT is a 1227747 ECM. But you said you replaced the prom in Memcal? That ECM does not have a memcal. You can't use that bin file in a ECM that has a memcal.
