AE?

I have noticed in my tune when I go WOT my AFR goes 13.46 for a fraction of a second before going mid 12s. I was told I have to add fuel in AE, would that be the "Acceleration Enrichment Factor vs. Change in LV8" table??? Right now that table looks like this.

LV8 Factor-Divi...
0.........12.50
64.......12.50
128......15.63
192......20.31
256......20.31

So If this is the correct table to add fuel to effect the start of WOT what LV8 should I adjust and how much should I add to get a full AFR point richer when first going wot?? Thanks

Re: AE?

IMO if the car isnt hesitating on the WOT hit, then dont worry about it. There always seems to be some minor air fuel lean spike on WOT hits. Its hard to get from mid 14's to mid high 12's to 1 air fuel instantly. Theres sometimes alittle transition time. I've tried tuning them out without success and on some cases made AE too rich to the point it stuttered on acceleration.

Re: AE?

That would be a table to start with. Its in Delta LV8 so you need to look at the LV8 where you start at, say cruise at 80 lv8 and then go WOT to 256 LV8. Thats a change of 176 so you'd want to change around the 192 mark in the table and also lightly bump the 128 entry

Re: AE?

just wanted to follow up on this lean spike issue. I've been working on getting WOT AFR to a steady mid 12. This lean spike is still some what of a concern to me. If I'm crusing around 35mph and and go WOT I get a fast 17.53 AFR at around 4350 RPMs. The converter is flashing to approx 4300-4500 RPMs. Once the RPMs start to climb about 4500 RPMs I'm mid/high 12s to 6200. I get a few knock counts on the lean spike then no more after it. I've had an issue with false knocks as well.
So would you guys suggest adding fuel in PE vs RPM at say 4300?? Adding fuel in AE vs LV8??? or just not worry about it being I hear no pinging over the WOT pull?

Re: AE?

Is it entering PE mode at the WOT hit and flash to 4300 rpm? Whats the air fuel look like if you rev to 4300 rpm in neutral and hold it there? Does it stabilize?

What is the delta LV8 from 35mph cruise to that WOT 4300 rpm area? The converter flashing will not have alot of load on it yet so its not demanding as much airflow from the MAF and fuel system. As it loads up and rpms climb, its getting high load on the MAF and going into PE mode, as evident of your air fuel ratio as rpms go up.

Re: AE?

Does your mask show a filter for AE?

A filter changes the onset and "duration" of AE event.

Ronny I'm not sure I'm using tp5 6e for a 7165. Would that filter be found in the tables in tp?

Re: AE?

I would think all the AE tables are grouped together?

I'm looking at the AE tables

AE factor vs. Change in LV8...added some fuel here without a noticing much change.

AE decay factory vs. coolant temp.

No. of Accel. Enrich. Async Pulses vs. Coolant Temp.

Accel. Enrich %BPW Factor vs. Async pulse

LV8 Accel. Enrich Coolant Factor vs Coolant temp.

any idea which AE table would be best for reducing lean spike at start of WOT?
