MAF 6E Tip-in/AE (Stealth Ram)
Hey.
I've tried searching and havn't found anything that explains the MAF/6E tables in depth. What I did find didn't help me much.
I'm Having a problem with acceleration enrichment with my setup.
I am using 6E MAF and I am unsure which table to play with.
Here is the problem;
I mash the gas and the wideband instantly flashes to 16~:1 then instantly dips down to 11:1~ then levels out to 12:1 once PE takes over. This causes knock counts/knock retard.
I have played with Acceleration Enrichment Factor vs. Change is LV8 and it didnt help. I changed it gradually and the only thing that change was the dip after the initial lean spike. Flash to 16~:1 then instantly would drop down to 9:1~ then level out to 12:1 once PE takes over.
So basically, my problem occurs right when I mash the gas to the floor.
Any ideas on what table needs adjustment?
Thanks.

One via load, and one via TPS.

-Acceleration Enrichment Decay Factor vs. Coolcant Temp
I know it isnt this - as the AE is long enough
From what I gather, this decays the pulse widths down?
-No. of Accel. Enrich Async Pulses vs. Coolant Temp
I have enough AE pulses, just not enough initial/instant
-Accel. Enrich %BPW Factor VS. Async Pulse
Looking at this table; This is what I think I need to adjust.. but I am unsure if the way it works is the way I think it works.
I think you can change the pulse width (amount of fuel) added per each AE Pulse. I am thinking if I change the first few values a little higher it would add more fuel on the first few Accel enrich pulses which is what I think I need. Am I correct?
-LV8 Accel Enrich Coolant Factor vs Coolant temp
I have enough AE, just not enough initial so adding more AE based on coolant ttemp shouldnt help me.

AE changes needed
I'm running into the same situation. I have maf tables down pat and wot throttle is coming together. It's the initial changes leaving a dead stop that I'm ready to work on. That ever so slight hesitation before things start turning. I'm not talking about the quick jump kind of thing. I mean leaning on the throttle to get things turning in a "normal" take-off. I think you're right. I'm gonna play around in this area to see if it cures it for me. I haven't found a table for ae vs. tps change in the 6e. I am just getting past having too much timing for wot where afr is good. I'm running trickflows with a hsr on a 355. Got a 2200 stall with 3.23 gears in an 88 gta. The gears gotta go due to the comp cams 503 roller, but the car is starting to show some major potential. Hope you get yours nailed and I'll let you know how mine works out.

I clipped this out of a thread a long time ago, becuase I have a HSR-like intake I plan to use eventually; for whoever wrote this, I apologize that I can't directly quote you, since I just clipped the text. Hope it helps. You could probably find this through some thread searching as well, there might be more information.

The fix was easy.
Get the blms in order first. I started with an ARAP bin, and made my own ramped timing table having all 34 deg in by 3000rpm and I idle at 26deg.
Tables I changed are: AE decay factor vs coolant temp. Lower the values and the pumpshot wont go away as fast. at operating temp I lowered the values from 39 to 26.
Accel Enrich%BPW Factor vs Async Pulse: Pulse 1 is 3.59, 3.30, 3.20, and 3 for pulse 4-8
the big change happened here: LV8 Accel Enrichment Coolant factor vs coolant temp.
Stock ARAP: 306F(0), 262F(.05), .05, .05, .15, .35, .43, .43, .43
Modifided: 306F(.3), 262F(.03), .35, .35, .35, .35, .35, .40, .40
And my Min Delta %tps for AE Constant is at 3.13,
and the Min Delta LV8 for AE is at 18.
These fueling changes, along with the timing at 26 idle up to 34deg by 3000 gives me excellet throttle response, no stumble, and NO MORE LEAN POP.
Hope this helps. I know I kept making AE changes and it didn't do anything... with the bigger plenum come to find out, you need pretty BIG changes.

Take a look at this XDF. I used the 6E source code from moates, and added a bunch of things that weren't in the original ecu file that I got with TP. It looks like the source separates the TPS and LV8 factors as I've shown in the xdf, but I guess it could be wrong.
I'm not sure exactly how AE is actually handled in 6E.
It kind of seems like the TPS part is async injections, and maybe delta LV8 is synchronous, but that's just a guess (about the synch part).
