l-41 with TPI questions

Probably stupid nube questions... Is there any specifics for tuning a L-41 (1st gen block) with a speed density Tpi? originally setup with a 1990 camaro bin.

basically what I've done so far is run a couple scans with rt tuner and started removing fuel.... Most of the base / upper ve tables were running 108 or close to it. I'm somewhat close to 128 but still could use refining.

2nd question.... When I run scans in rt tuner I see blips of error or what looks like a crazy reading. Is this normal, or should I sort them out of the csv file?

Also after dropping the fuel, I'm now getting random knock counts which I probably need to reduce advance I guess?

Thanks for any advice, I've been reading quite a bit so I'm slowly grasping what needs to be done.

That is correct. Work on the VE tables to get the BLMs close to 128. WOT will need to be done by others means as the ECM goes open loop.

Normal, but shouldn't be. This is usually caused by the turn-around delays in the data stream definition file.

Try reducing the SA in those areas by half of the peak retard. If the knock doesn't go away it may be false knock. Can check the spark plugs to see if real knock is present.

You'll have to sort them out or it will skew the BLM data.

But to fix the issue with your ADX file read this:

Re: l-41 with TPI questions

Appreciate the help... I figured they were some kind of comm error, but wanted to make sure it wasn't some ECM problem.

Regarding the knock, I'm thinking its not "false knock", I'll go back through and look at my before adjustment baseline data log, but I would have noticed that before.

It does definitely idle better...
