Are some ECMs better than others?
1227747 computer. I would think that the best computer for a vehicle would be the computer that came with the vehicle and that the only adjustments you would want to make would be with the PROM.
Does that make sense?

The PROM contains the calibration and some code. With the remaining code (firmware) is in mask ROM on board the ECM.

I disagree, the EBL or even the later Blue/Red connector PCM would be a much welcomed replacement to the 7747. Even a 92 only 299 is a better platform.
