Swapped BW 2.77 to BW 3.27 (g92) 1989 iroc

Engine: L98/LS3
Transmission: 700R4/M6
Axle/Gears: 3.27 B.W./3.42
Swapped BW 2.77 to BW 3.27 (g92) 1989 iroc
My question is I have a 1989 5.7 iroc 2.77 BW rear that has been swapped to the G92 3.27 rear. I see there are two proms for 89 5.7L. Should I have changed my prom? If so what will I gain and what will I lose by sticking with my standard prom.
