Code $59 -- fuel offset vs coolant temp?
Any code $59 guys here know if you can offset fuel ratios vs coolant temps?
Only table i see is base pulse width inverse coolant term vs coolant deg and the inputs are deg C on left side and CTS deg on right. Its currently 0'd out but my car seems to experience a large swing of air fuel ratio from cooler start temps say under 140 deg f its around 13.5 to 1 and at 200 deg f temps its at 16-17 air fuel at idle.
The part throttle fueling doesnt change as much so maybe this isnt my issue but id like to maintain closer to 14 to 1 when it heats up and especially want it abit richer if under boost at higher coolant temps. However i dont recall the car changing air fuel ratio when hot or cold so i think it will be ok. Not sure if that table is the right one for my idle low part throttle issue, but if it is how does it work?? No idea what values to try.
Probably not a huge deal as car idles great now with 115lb high imp inj and 246 deg at .050 .640" hyd roller cam

I'm not a $59 guy at all but is this only at idle? also does the pw change or iac step when it goes from 140-200? also where is the iat located, maybe its picking up more heat from the turbo and the iat temp table needs to be adjusted? If its not happening everywhere then chances are its only one table that needs to changed.

Good point. I'll need to look at my IAT. Its in the charge pipe from intercooler to TB. It doesnt seem to be working now that I look at my log as intake temps never really fluctuate, even under 6 psi boost for a few seconds....Unless my intercooler is that good i'd expect some change?
Inj pulse width is dropping slightly when its hot idling and leaned out. IN general it seems to be more noticeable at idle but small change at part throttle cruise. Not as much but a slight movement.
IAC steps go up a small amount from cold idle to hot idle.
IT seems to be rich from first start at 80's deg coolant up to 160-170 deg and then slowly lean out. If I lean cold start out too much hot idle starts to screw up so I figured it was a temp bias thing but that is a good point that driveability doesnt seem to be moving AS much as the idle...

If IAT/MAT is not moving, make sure the ADX is correct. There was a time when importing an ADS to Tuner Pro V5, that the MAT entry got corrupted.
The table that seems to affect warm up fueling the most is Cold Engine AFR -vs- Coolant temp and MAP (F56).
I'm trying to get my warm up fueling correct too, along with my fueling at around 7 to 9 PSIG, where it goes lean, real lean!

Why not put the iat in the inlet pipe to turbo and turn off bit for inverse table, should be much more accurate or at least thats what I've seen most GN guys do, please dont hold me to this one but, maybe some turbo guys will chim in on it.
Also you may want to step down the iac a little, it can make it run lean at idle so by closing it some will richen it up, remember its like a vaccum leak, air goes past the throttle blade but tps % is the same.

I got a closed throttle idle fuel table based on rpm and map so i would have thought any iac fluctuation would raise lower both rpm and map and id be compensated?
I dont have tp5 i am still on tunerpro4 so still have ads. Sensor works but doesnt move much. On cooler days it will read same as air temp at startup say 73. Hotter days when it was 80's it read 80's but on my short drive it was between 84-86 with most of time spent at 85.5 or so? Just figured it move more since its the open element plastic sensor designed for this stuff but hope its correct for code59. Its a gm type sensor.
I dont wanna put it pre turbo since sometimes i dont run inlet filter pipes and i want to keep an eye on intake temps under high boost. Eventually i wanted a safeguard extra fuel adder when temps hit high levels

Re: Code $59 -- fuel offset vs coolant temp?
Ok last night seemed to show alittle iat movement. Car when cold under 170 deg coolant idles in the 13-14.0 range mostly mid high 13's. When hot like 190-200 its higher 14's to low 15's. Iat was 70's to low 80-82 deg. But last night i stopped to get gas and after sitting for those few min i start car up and notice coolant was at 212 then started coming down and iat was at 92 obviously heat soaked from sitting and air fuels at my lower rpm lower map values were way lean. 16-17 to 1 at times and car felt rough til i got more gas pedal and load moved to 70's kpa where it went back to its normal 14.x range. Log shows iat dropping to 80 deg and coolant down to 185-190 and air fuels sneakin back into the 15's after few min goin down the road.
So i am going to try alittle mat offset but no idea how it works in code $59. Still think its part coolant temp related but i will try iat/mat first. I wonder if i can let it idle and take a heat gun or torch to the pipe around the sensor to replicate the long hot drive and sitting with hood closed?
