Can not connect to the ECM (ALDL and tunerpro issue)
I know there are a ton of threads on the subject and i think ive looked at most of them by this point and seem to have gotten a bit closer to being able to connect to the ECM but im still not there yet. When i go to connect it just says connecting and never actually connects. Things that i have done so far is set the com port to 4 in tunerpro and checked to make sure its the same com port on the computer which it is. 10k resister is in place. I also turned the latency timer down to 1 on com port 4. I have the proper ADX file loaded for my ECM. What am i missing? Car is a 88 iroc running arap bin and 6e def.
Also in another thread i saw mentioned a ALDL setup section in tunerpro. Maybe im blind but i did not see any section like that other than the one that i used to set the com port to 4. Is there another one? It was mentioned in this thread:

I am having the same issue, found this on Craigs site http://support.moates.net/tprtv5-ads-to-adx/
My "Body Size (Dec)" was set to 66 automatically, changed it to 67 and haven't had the chance to try it out yet, but am hoping it solves the issue I am having, which is the same issue you are having.........

Ok well i got it to say connected by switching it to autoprom (which is probably not right) but it will say connected even if the computer is not hooked up the the car. That one has me stumped.
I will have to look at setting the other piece to 67. I bet its on 66 now since i never messed with it.

What cable are you using to connect to the car?

Changing to 67 didn't solve my problem...... Just says DA Connecting forever.
I am using the cable that came with my Moates APU1, sounds like subroc is using the same.

try TTS Datamaster first. I never could connect with Tunerpro when i had my tpi car.

Increasing body size by 1 will not help you connect. It will help with glitchy/jumpy data.
Try another USB port, mine will work on 2 of 3, sometimes changing between the 2.

Well im not really sure what the issue was but i got it to connect. I had a buddy connect it with his computer first then we tried mine and it finally went through. I wish i could be more help and give everyone a reason for why it wasnt connecting but im lost as to what was keeping it from connecting.

I also can't get an OBD1 scanner to connect...... at all......., says unable to communicate with the vehicle.
I am thinking I may have a bad ecm.
When I use a jumper at the ALDL port, I do get code 12 though..... I am so freaking frustrated.
I can't start prom tuning untill I can datalog.
