Death of a Prominator?

I've been using a PPOminator board in my TPI powered caprice wagon for about 5 years. I think it died today. It's TPI 'd 400 block $8D on a 7730 ECM stuffed into a Caprice Wagon, "Shammoo".

The car was driven home last night and parked. This morning it's dead to the world.
1) I swapped a spare ecm with a stock memcal chip set, 92 Speed Density TPI /automatic bin and it started up.

Also had an old chip set from "Alvin" that I swapped that into the spare ECM... it started up.

Swapped both chip sets into the original ECM, both started up

Swapped the mother/daughter Prominator board into the spare ECM... dead.

So any time the Prominator chip set was involved, no start, anytime it was out of the picture, it ran regardless of ECM or Memcal, ORIGINAL OR SPARE.

I'm thinking R.I.P. Mr Prominator. I did notice two carbon trails inside the prominator board connector where the serial cable attaches to the board.

Any thoughts to contribute? Is it EBL time? Know anyone doing repairs to Prominators?
