85 to late 80's ECM questions

Newb here, I gotta say....you guys have a TON of info here!!!

I'm looking into doing the ECM swap and so forth. I just picked up a nice 85 silver LB9 Iroc. The car is all original except for a so so paint job from years ago.

I was wondering how many of you guys did this and how hard was it to do. It seems pretty involved, but I'm sure I can tackle it.

Here's a pic the day I picked it up.

It's never seen a winter since new. The car was rust proofed with paraffin wax years ago, there's not a spot of rust under the car!!!

Re: 85 to late 80's ECM questions

Mike has documented the swap from the '6870 '85 ECM to the '7165 ('86 - '89 ECM):

http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~davis/z28

He then swapped to the '90 - '92 '7730 ECM and documented it. Can find that on his site too.

IROC is looking good... Keeping them out of the Winter goes a long way to preventing rot.

RBob.
