autoprom use.

Got everything from moates. the autoprom kit and adapter with zif socket. using tunerpro rt I read my slp aftermarket chip. made a bin and uploaded it to the autoprom. with emulation cable in runs fine off the autoprom as if it was just the same chip before I did all this. now when I plug in my data cable and try to aquire data. even before clicking aquire data on tunerpro it jumps from a 700 rpm idle to 1000 sometimes idling at 1200 and when I rev it quick to 2k it shuts off afterwards. but it shows all the data on the tunerpro dash. so its like its working right but the data cable is changing my bin? ive tried the resistors on the back of autoprom and does nothing. HELP.

Re: autoprom use.

It sounds like the 10K resistor is being connected enabling "ALDL mode" as it's sometimes referred to as. This sets the idle higher, in many codes (bins) from GM.

Make sure that the switch that is closest to the ALDL port on teh back of the Autoprom is set to the right (open) as seen in the picture below:

Also try it in pass-through mode with the EPROM/MEMCAL in the ECM to see if the same thing happens when you're just logging with the Autoprom.

It will also help to list the details of the vehicle you're working with, ECM, code/BCC, etc.

Re: autoprom use.

Using no emulation cable. just data cable. if i put the switches in APU1 mode and the non 10k it runs right same with passthrough mode but not all the info shows on my dash in example does not show rpms but in the 10k APU1 mode it shows all my info on dash but thats when it changes the idle, only in 10k mode
