XDF problems [solved]
Hello folks, I havent been around for 4 years, (last visit date 5-25-2010!). I've gotten out of hot rodding but I still have my 95 full size and have been happily tuning that the last few years.
All the sudden out of no where today my BIN is all screwed up like I'm using the wrong XDF but I'm not. I'm using a version of $31 that I wrote myself. It has worked perfect for years (literally 3-4 years). I have went as far as to completely uninstall tunerpro RT V5 and re-download and re-install it. I even dug out a 3 year old CD with a copy of my XDF on it and tried that and it still doesnt work right. I'm sure the problem is some setting somewhere. I feel its because just in the past 2 weeks (since I've needed to tune my truck last) I have started to burn AVR chips using Atmel studio 5.0 and a CMD line app called AVRDUDE and while its completely separate from TPRT thats the only variable thats changed on any part of my hardware/software since it last worked.
The data looks like I am trying to view parameters using the wrong XDF but again I'm been using this same XDF for years, its for sure the right one, I'm able to read the chip to the buffer, write it (as long as I dont try to edit anything, I can either write the data I read or write unedited saved BIN's) but when I try to edit anything and save it and burn that the truck runs in limp-home mode and like I say the data is all scrambled.
I'm not claiming to be an expert but I've been doing it right since 2010, now all the sudden something is off. I came here hoping someone knows what I'm doing wrong and its a simple mistake. I will be greatful for any assistance as I have to tow a 14k pound trailer in the morning and wanted to change my shift points a bit but cant.
If anyone is interested I can email them my XDF and my BIN, just post or PM me your email. I need assistance ASAP and will be watching this all night.
thanks in advance!

Re: XDF problems
Well I found the problem, no idea how but the hex addressing was off. I literally have never changed those settings since finishing up the XDF (to its current state), I wonder if some of my other programming stuff somehow corrupted my .XDF files.
Anyway I didnt get it in time to do what I needed to for towing today but its working proper now.
