SA Tables
I've been re-doing a bin that I paid a well-known shop to do for me. I've almost got the VE tables sorted, but now there are other issues that are making me think I should have started from scratch. I have 30 lb Bosch 3 injectors. The Tuner in his multiple tries, kept reducing the injector constant (now at 27.5) instead of adjusting the VE tables. That's of no concern to me because as I said, I'm adjusting the VE's. The timing is what concerns me, he had the base timing set at 5.98 degrees (I'm using Tuner Pro Rt) My motor wants 10-12 degrees initial, and that's what it is. My question is at this point should I set the initial in the bin to my actual of 12 degrees? If I do, what effect will that have on the SA tables? Thanks for any help, as I've said previously, this is all new to me.

Re: SA Tables
With est disconnected, set base to whatever the lowest value you can still idle at with your combo. Some motors will not idle at 6. Mine wouldnt below 11.
After that, do set base in chip to match what motor did above.
If you dont, overall timing will be offset the difference between actual base seen by motor and chips base setting.
Ie base of 12 acual but chip has 6 means whole timing map has 6 more deg than showing
