What do I need to get started?
I'm spanking new to tuning an efi system(worked on lots of carbed engines)....I have a '94 GMC 2wd pickup with a 5.7 tbi. My brother has a MCUMall GQ-4x. From what I've read I need to do is download Tunerpro to start reading chips.
Does my '94 chip need a UV eraser or can the gq-4x erase it? And where do I download new files to start burning?

Use the GQ-4 to read the PROM, can then edit the BIN in Tuner Pro. That chip is most likely UV erasable, see if there is a window under the sticker. If so then it is. From time to time GM used one time programmable ROMs, so just look for the window.
