well, I'm hanging it up...
well, I'm hanging it up...
The ECM that is!
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I have nothing else left to tune on this thing finally... after working through all the bugs of the EFI swap, the inherent difficulties in tuning a Miniram, injector offsets, dropping out of PE, ugh...
But at this point finally, idle is glass smooth, AFR's are right where I want them in PE and open loop, throttle response is sharp as a razor, 27 mpg on the highway, etc...
I'm freaking done with this damn thing! Though I'll still be hanging around here helping out where ever I can of course. But it'll be nice taking the car out and not having it be yet another test drive.
(at least until I eventually do my 427 sbc)
Thanks to all the experts on this board who have provided so much insight!

Congrats !
Re: well, I'm hanging it up...
The proof! lol... No more ECM on the passenger floor pan with emulators, WB O2 harnesses, etc... No more making every outing a test drive for another bin iteration, no more taking/analyzing data and wondering about the next change, etc...
I think I'm finally there... hallelujia...
Was making a few more tweaks this past weekend, but whatever I did seem to make no change or made the car run worse . So I think this bin is finally optimized and the ever-contrary Miniram has finally been brought to heel!!

How did u address the split BLM issue inherent in the MiniRam? The LT5 has that same problem.
Although I found that by increasing my plug gap from
.035” to .045” it appears the BLM disparity diminished.

I had to take drastic measures... lol. Since I couldn't solve the problem on the fuel side I solved it on the air side. I've since refined the air intake from the ugly contraption I came up with in that thread though.

Wow, congrats! I envy you.
Stumbled on your post now that I'm digging back into OBD1 stuff with new heads and cam in my Beretta. So the wideband and Autoprom and emulator ribbon go back in... haha
