Verification Failure

27SF512 inserted into the autoprom properly. TPRT did a successful erase and blank check, but couldnt verify buffer or burn program. i am able to fully datalog a -7747, so im assuming my com and cable and chip are fine. What could be my issue? I've verified the buffer address and stuff too. Chips are new straight from Moates. Ill attach a screenshot of what im dealing with.

Re: Verification Failure

Try using the stand alone Flash n' Burn program.

SOMETIMES the built in F n' B utility doesn't always play nicely, especially with the AutoProm from my experience.

Also check your offsets, they don't always set themselves up correctly, which is another reason I will use the stand alone F n' B program.

Re: Verification Failure

Just downloaded Moates FnB off their website, and im having the same results. Always a failed verification. But i am apparently able to burn a bin to the chip... I guell ill try that out on my pickup later. Hella rain storm going on right now in the northern mitten state. Why would it not be able to verify the chip, but succeed in burning?

Crazy as it sounds, I had similar issues and found that changing the USB cable solved the problem. The faulty cable would work for some functions but not all and was very slow and intermittent in AutoProm BIN upload/verification. Also chip burning was an intermittent issue. Might also try changing FTDI driver or reinstalling. Finally settled on v2.12.06 which works best for me.
