Will the PROM from an '86 Vette "fit" in my '86 TA ECM?

I know the '86 Vette has VATS but I'm having that disabled so it won't affect my '86 TA which had no VATS. The thing I'm wondering is... will it fit? Is it made the same, physically??

Also, can anyone think of any reason other than VATS that would prevent me from using the '86 Vette chip in my '86 TA??

Ok, so obviously no one has tried this. The reason I'm asking is because I need a chip for my car and since the '86 Firebird/Camaros didn't come with 350s and that's what I've got, I'm having to figure out what chip I can use. I don't have the time to get into prom buring right now so I'm just gonna buy a chip from Ed Wright.

Right now my options are the '86 350ci Vette chip with VATS turned off or the '87 350ci Firebird/Camaro chip.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Most guys with MAF start with the 1989 ARAP BIN (disable the Cold Start injector if it is pre 1989) and then tune from there. Do a search on ARAP and you will find a wealth of information and some things you will need to "tweak" to make it work properly (fan switch, turning off VATS and backing the spark off a little bit) comes to mind as the common "first things to change".

This is your best solution.
