Timing Adjust

What tables would SUBTRACK timing? In my main SA table, I have specified 36 degrees of SA at WOT, however according to my data logs, I am only getting 31.
I do not have a knock sensor. I'd like to make sure I am getting the value from the main spark table when at WOT.

Thanks

Re: Timing Adjust

Double check the log for RPM & MAP to make sure of what area of the SA table you are looking at.

As for tables that can subtract from the SA, there are several. The main ones are the "SA - Coolant Comp Spark Advance" and "SA - IAT/CTS Compensation" tables.

Two others are the "SA - PE Reduction vs. MPH" table and the "SA - PE Reduction in 4th (auto only)" scalar.

Re: Timing Adjust

Thanks Rbob, I'm double checking the logs. At 3200 RPM I'm at 30* advance and 97KPa, and all the way up to 5500 RPM it doesn't go above 32*. And Confirming the SA Main and Extended table show 35.16* in every cell from 90 to 100 KPa and 3600 to 6000.

SA-PE Reduction vs MPH is zero'd for all cells. I'm showing the other tables below. The SA Coolant Bias and SA IAT Bias constant are both set at the default of 9.84.
I'm afraid I still don't understand why I am not getting up to 35 degrees advance. Can you suggest what I should change?
Thanks!!

Re: Timing Adjust

Timing is being pulled via the "SA - IAT/CTS Compensation" table. Any value less then the bias is removing SA.

Also, check that the "SA - Maximum SA with Positive Value" is set to 41.85°.

What RBob said, but can't just change a single value in a table because of the way the code interpolates a table. Need to change all values "around" RPM and temp of concern to ensure the exact value desired is extracted.
