swapping ecm's

I know repining is an option but on some ecm's have edge connectors like the cross fire corvette and 87 up 2m4 fiero. What is the best tool to crimp the pins on the wires or is there a better process for this?
Thanks
Joe

Re: swapping ecm's

Are you referring to the newer type pin style terminals? IOW, to use a newer ECM, not one that has the edge card connectors?

If so we use a Molex crimper: 63811-1000

As for a better process, can swap the whole harness out. If the current harness has issues this can be worthwhile.

RBob.

Re: swapping ecm's

Thanks for the reply RBob, I was mainly looking for opinions on what crimpers that people who work on this type stuff like to use. I will be swapping from the 127748 ecm that has edge connector for a 127165 that uses standard plugs.
