ADX for $6E Mask - Comprehensive Version

UPDATED 10-13-2023

Hey TGO Members

For TunerPro users

Special thanks to @tequilaboy and @EDGE for their help.

Here are $6E mask ADX files that should help you with your tuning. I have been using them and sharing them in private. Unfortunately, I could not upload them on Gearhead site: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...Information-6E

Both ADX will work with OEM BINs with enhanced capabilities for MAF voltage, TPS% and WB gauge on modified BINs
  • It is in MPH but can easily be modified for our Canadian and Europeans friends.
  • The main Dash (DASH) contains the majority of info you need for good tuning.
  • The Data Lists have 4 different views but you can custom as many as you want.
  • The Monitors are left blank for yours to customize. I usually change them as I go depending on what I want to focus on.
  • The History tables are also left blank.
  • The ADX are not transmission specific. There is a Monitor for transmission data.
Use "$6E ADX - SbFormula Comprehensive_WB_V1.0" for modified BIN with WB Gauge DataStream. It is programmed for AEM 30-4110. You can easily adapt it for your gauge. ENG Run time won't work on this version. Please see this for proper BIN: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/diy-...6e-linear.html

Use "$6E ADX - SbFormula Comprehensive_V1.0" otherwise

The ADX files have the capability of monitoring MAF voltage and TPS% as long as you modify your BIN for it. If you don't modify your BIN, it'll still work but you'll have to ignore "MAF - Voltage" and "TPS (ECM)".

If you want to modify your BIN to data stream "MAF - Voltage", please refer to: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/diy-...f-voltage.html
Basically, address 0x680 needs to be modified to HEX value F3 from 60

If you want to modify your BIN to data stream "TPS ECM", address 0x6A8 needs to be modified to HEX value 83 from 61

The TPS% ECM is using is different than the real TPS% measured with actual TPS voltage. There is a significant delta.
  • At low Throttle, the TPS ECM registered 0% when real TPS is at 2.5%
  • TPS ECM reaches 100% throttle while real TPS is at 78%
  • See the excel sheet for details.

In each ADX, "TPS (REAL)" has been set-up based on TPS voltage sweep of 0.529 to 4.529. You will have to calibrate it based on your results.
  • KOEO
  • Take a reading of TPS voltage with zero throttle (ZT) and WOT, that is the voltage range
  • Enter this formula in "conversation tab" of ADX editor for "TPS %" value: (((X * 0.019608 + 0.000000)- ZT)/ (WOT-ZT))*100
  • Example: ZT = 0.529V, WOT = 4.529V, ((X * 0.019608 + 0.000000) - 0.529)/(4.529-0.529)*100

Enjoy

You can log L0083 if you wish to see the tps load axis variable directly (conversion: X/2.56). You must also edit the bin in order to replace some existing byte in the datastream.

Perfect

Do you have an ADX for demonstration? I assume BIN has to be modified for it, replacing one of the OEM ALDL word for L0083?

Thanks

EDITED:
I will be testing reporting L0086 L0083. I have modified $6E APYP, ALDL word#30 and changed it for L0086 L0083 instead of L0061. It was for MAP according to hack and was reporting 0 all the time. So I figured I could use it. ADX has also been modified. I'll report back.

L0086 is a different signal. It is the 12.5 msec old value of the Throttle position T/F load axis variable. Not sure why this would be interesting.

Yep my bad
I read L0083 and entered L0086. Got them confused. So never mind L0086, I'll correct it for L0083.
Thanks.

Yep, figured it out not too long after your post (pre edited)
Just doing some testing right now. Seems like the BIN as a different TPS% range than reality. It reaches 100% at about 80% throttle opening. Will get back with exact chart.
Peace
