Bosch injector question

I'm looking to buy Bosch d3 19lb injectors from Southbay for my stock 89 305tpi. I've read on other threads that prom tuning may be needed. Now my question is, is this the same story for the gen II Bosch injectors? I have not seen any confirmation one way or the other for that. I'm not trying to mod the car for power, I'm just trying to replace failed stock multitec injectors with something a little better if I can.

I was looking at those gen 2's. I'll get them and see what happens. Thank you.
