I might pick up a ADS chip for a 85 TPI auto. It would be either part # 8505-A Street Super Chip, or #8505-B Strip Super Chip. Could any of you chip burners out there tell me if these chips offer any improvement over stock GM chip , in terms of injector pulse-width, timing mapping / values,etc? I'm no expert on chip tech, and I realize these would NOT offer the benefit of a "custom burned chip", however you guys would know if they'er any good at all. Which would be better for a daily driver / with typical free / low cost mods, and would these let cooling fan kick in sooner, and at what temp? Comments? Thanks!

 

Waste of time/money. ADS only modifies the spark tables at WOT, nothing else. You could almost do that with a distributor adjustment.
