PROM newbie - What can I do for a stock 89 K-5 Blazer??

My buddy has a stock 89 K-5 Blazer, 5.7 L throttle body injected motor. So, I was wondering if you guys could either give me an overview or give me a link to a site with a good overview of how changing the different tables on the PROM affects the vehicle's performance. He's really looking for some more torque in the motor since he does plowing with it. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Go to www.tunercat.com to get their Bin Editor. The 30 day demo includes the $42 TDF (calibration definition) for the 1227747 ECM used. Then www.diy-efi.org to find a BIN for the 1227747 $42 calibration.

ANLW 5469.bin is the proper bin for most stock Blazers w/5.7
TBI engines. Just to be sure, pull the stock eprom and
verify the broadcast code printed on the silver sticker on top
of the eprom.

Thanks for the replies. What I'm really asking, though, is what should I change in order to get the desired low end torque, and how does changing the values in the tables affect performance? I've already got the definition file and the .bin file. I'm asking because I don't know how much to change spark values, etc. I don't want to screw anything up in his motor. I just want to give it a little more power without any major mods. If anyone has a web site or document that explains all of this it would be great. Thanks again.
